As lifestyles evolve the living room is fast becoming the heart of the home, a space for families to gather, share stories and relax.

Come Into The WarmthIf you’re looking to create a focal point for your living room a stove is a great way to add character and naturally draw people together. The glass door of the stove presents an enticing flame picture in ever changing shades from deep red through orange to yellow, with the odd spark. And this not only applies to multifuel stoves; both gas and electric stoves offer an authenticity that is unimaginable.

The appeal of a stove is sensual as well as visual; obedient, efficient and mesmerising, a stove could be the solution you’ve been seeking.

The environmental choice
The majority of us live in a smoke control area as defined by the Clean Air Act; here you can only use solid fuel heating appliances which have passed the tests set by the Department for Environment Food and Rural Affairs (DEFRA). The majority of Broseley stoves bear the smoke exempt (SE) seal.

Broseley gas fired stoves employ some of the most efficient gas engines in existence. With a 5kW gas stove to heat a room there’s no need to keep the central heating on; minimising household fuel consumption. Electricity is clean energy. But unlike any other fuel it’s 100% efficient and you get the full benefit of every unit used.

For your way of living
A stove is the perfect way to achieve an on-trend interior; Broseley Fires Come into the warmth 2have recently launched a collection of stoves known as the Hereford. With a sturdy steel body and cast iron door, this British designed and built stove comes in a Multifuel 5kW SE and 7kW SE, Electric 5 and 7 with a heat output of 2kW and a Gas model.

Increase in Demand for Wood Burners

A relaxation of rules governing the use of woodburning stoves, increased awareness of environmental issues and rocketing fuel prices have led to a dramatic increase in demand for wood burning domestic heating systems. Over the past 12 months Broseley has seen an increase of more than 65 per cent in sales of stoves which meet the latest standards set by the Department for Environment Food and Rural Affairs (DEFRA), which allows for wood to be burnt in smoke control areas.

The industry has also benefited from a much wider recognition that installing a wood burning system can significantly reduce a household’s carbon emissions as well as its fuel costs, which have risen dramatically in recent years. At the same time wood offers a sustainable fuel source, reducing demand for dwindling supplies of fossil fuels such as gas and oil.

As a result, sales of all wood burning stoves and boiler stoves are up by more than 15 per cent in the last 12 months, on top of a similar increase the previous year, and we predict this trend will continue – especially as there seems to be no end in sight when it comes to the rising cost of traditional fuels. This situation is encouraging manufacturers to Broseley Stovecontinually develop their products to make them even more efficient as well as easier to install and operate.

In fact it is leading to something of a revolution within the industry as wood burning stoves and boilers cease to become niche products and become a mainstream alternative to oil and gas heating systems. In response, we have developed a comprehensive range of DEFRA approved stoves, cookers and boilers, many of which can be connected directly to a sealed heating system as well as plumbed conventionally on an open system.

We believe this makes them ideal for integration with other environmentally-friendly technology such as solar power to help households reduce their carbon footprint as well as their heating bills.
