Percy Doughty Invests Over £350,000 In 2016

Over £150,000 of this investment is its new fleet of branded vehicles which hit the road this week. The new fleet comprising of three 7.2 tonne IVECO Daily box vans and three 3.5 tonne IVECO Daily long wheeled vehicles are to run alongside our pallet and parcel courier services. Andrew Mulligan, Managing Director said “2016 is a year of significant investment in the company. The new vehicles travel across the country representing a fantastic opportunity to promote our brand. The vehicles have the latest eco-friendly technology and make the fleet more efficient.”

The new vehicles form part of a wider investment in the family owned and operated business, the company has invested over £200, 000 in new IT systems which includes a fully integrated CRM system linking all areas of our business from purchasing, to warehouse operations through to sales and marketing.  This is also complemented with a brand new e-commerce website and warehouse management software. Andrew added “As Percy Doughty continues to grow it became clear that we needed to put in place robust systems to meet the current and future demands.  The new system will also enable us to develop our management information. We’re already yielding results with the significant improvements to our operational infrastructure. These enhancements will deliver improved operational efficiencies which will ultimately deliver ongoing and future benefits to our customers.”
