NACS & Surefire In New Joint Partnership

Surefire and the National Association of Chimney Sweeps (NACS) are pleased to National Association of Chimney Sweeps & Surefire In New Joint Partnershipannounce the new partnership to help improve the services for NACS Members and HETAS Installers new and existing. Surefire part of Docherty since 1960 has expanded their catchment area for engineers to be able to attend one of two HETAS Approved Training Centres. One in Stone, Staffordshire; the other in Ripley, Derbyshire. (Find out more about the National Association of Chimney Sweeps)

Surefire will provide Tutors and Assessors for all HETAS training, bringing consistency to both centres. The NACS centre is being upgraded to be able to offer the full suite of HETAS training courses.(Find out more about Hetas)

HETAS Training Manager Mike Harvey adds “The partnership between the two organisations will undoubtedly prove successful; training resources combined with highly experienced trainers with a wealth of industry knowledge will ensure training needs within the area are satisfied.  A very pleasing industry development”.
All HETAS course bookings will be taken by Surefire through a central telephone line. NACS Members can continue to ring the NACS office and select HETAS training.

National Association of Chimney Sweeps & Surefire In New Joint Partnership 2All Members should be aware of a telephone number change for the NACS office from the 7th July 2016 to 01785 336555, however the existing number will be active for a short period during the changeover.

The NACS actively promotes all HETAS courses to its Members and in particular the H003 course as a requirement to progress to the status of ‘Master Chimney Sweep’ and as a pre- requisite to be a HETAS registered sweep. NACS now have over two hundred HETAS registered members, many of whom are installers and HETAS Approved Chimney Sweeps.

Mr. Cris Whitcombe Eng. Tech MCIPHE RP, Dip RSA, Cert Ed Training Manager at Surefire will be in charge of all HETAS training courses added “I am pleased about the partnership for all concerned and look forward to the challenges and triumphs that lay before us. Mr. Dave Donald, NACS Head of Training will continue to be in charge of all NACS training courses.

Surefire Training Services are also Associate Members of the NACS. The new partnership will National Association of Chimney Sweeps & Surefire In New Joint Partnership 2commence on 1st July 2016. Martin P.
