Woodburner Workshop

It is true that Woodburner workshop’s first showroom was once that of Sir Frank Whittle, father of the jet engine, during World War 2. When we moved in and installed and lit our first stoves the blue sky was streaked with the vapour trails of jets bound for far destinations. We could never really be sure that the steel girder, which protruded from our car park, was really the anchor to which Whittle tethered the prototypes of those silver specs dissecting the sky above our heads; though there were those that said it was so.

What is true, however, is that all of us seek the solace provided by that fundamental flame. For some of our customers building and tending a fire brings great satisfaction. This is easily achieved with our top sellers Clearview, Morso and Aarrow, stoves which will give years of trouble free burning.

You can be sure of a warm, fiery, welcome at Woodburner Workshop.Others prefer to have their flame delivered at the touch of a button and for them, especially, we have some very indulgent gas fires indeed. Our splendid, futuristic, DRU range are the perfect gas fire for that ultimate look of modernity.

We left Whittle’s Ladywood Works, workshop behind in 2012 and moved into the newly restored 31 Market Street, in Lutterworth town centre, LE17 4EJ  just in time for Christmas.  Whether you are a traditionalist or modernist, come along and pay us a visit. You can be sure of a warm, fiery, welcome at Woodburner Workshop.
