New Lifetime Guarantee for Tecno-flex Plus Flue Liner

Schiedel have been manufacturing twin skin flexible liners at their Washington plant for over 40 years and are now proud to offer householders a lifetime guarantee against defects in relation to the Tecnoflex Plus liner system together with its approved accessories.

Specflue LogoSchiedel Chimney Systems is the leading chimney company in the UK & Ireland. Schiedel was founded in Germany in 1947 and has a long and trusted reputation in Europe and is now the market leader for chimney systems, offering the widest product range and widest choice of materials.

Flexible chimney liners are designed to take exhaust gases from gas, oil and multi fuel appliances, including stoves and open fires, where the maximum flue gas temperature does not exceed 600 °C . Tecnoflex Plus is predominately used for relining an existing masonry chimney’s, which in time may develop leaks due to the corrosion by acid attack to the mortar.

David Wright, Residential Sales and Marketing Manager for Schiedel Chimney Systems commented: "It is important to offer householders peace of mind and by offering this new lifetime guarantee they can be certain that they are getting a first class product."

The new lifetime guarantee is further testament to the Tecnoflex Plus flexible liner system which has been fully tested and approved to EN1856-2 including the award winning screw fit range of accessories. The beauty of the screwfit range of accessories is that they avoid the need to drill and rivet on site, saving time for the installer and crucially preventing damage to the flex liner.

Michael Ball, CEO of Schiedel Chimney Systems welcomes this new development, saying: "The new lifetime guarantee will now be offered, subject to full compliance with the householders responsibilities in conjunction with the specific installation instructions and in accordance with the terms and conditions. When we say 'no quibbles' we mean it and so the lifetime guarantee we offer is a straightforward one."

To benefit from the new lifetime guarantee, the householder should register the product within 30 days of installation ,which should be carried out by a HETAS approved installer, or, if not, have been signed off by a Building Control officer prior to use.

The householder should familiarise themselves with the User Guide supplied and fully comply with its provisions during the lifetime of the usage of the Liner, failure to do so may invalidate any claim under the lifetime guarantee.
