Baxi shortlisted in energy awards

Baxi is celebrating following the news that one of its best-selling boilers has been shortlisted for a prestigious industry award.

The Baxi EcoBlue Advance Heat boiler is in the running for The Energy Awards 2015 Innovation of the Year – Technology category.

Designed to recognise any innovation that has enabled an organisation to excel in its field, the Innovation of the Year award is one of 15 categories to be judged by a panel including, the Test House Manager for BSRIA, Tom Garrigan.

Launched in September 2014, the Baxi EcoBlue Advance Heat was developed following a major survey by the UK boiler manufacturer, which found that the perfect boiler for installers would be one that is reliable, easy to handle and install, and simple, efficient and economical for householders to use.

Baxi EcoBlue Advance Heat is the lightest boiler on the UK market, making it an easy one person lift and therefore safer and simpler for installers. With a range of innovative features, it is also easier to fit.

State-of-the-art laboratory tests, extensive field trials and a five-year warranty provide reliability and a peace of mind for householders, and a 1:5 modulation ratio means it is efficient and economical to run.

Jon Phillips, head of product management at Baxi, said: “We are thrilled to have been shortlisted for this award, which is testament to our commitment to innovation and ultimately making installers’ lives easier.

“For instance, when we were designing the Baxi EcoBlue, to make the installation easy, quick and simple we developed a seemingly simple one click mounting jig that took eight months and 20 iterations to perfect. We also ran our most comThe Energy Awards Shortlist 2015prehensive and extensive field trials ever, to ensure complete reliability for consumers.

“Just being shortlisted is an honour, and we look forward to receiving the results!”

The awards ceremony will take place on December 2 at London’s Hilton Park Lane hotel.
