Instigated
in 1997, the Hearth & Home Exhibition Awards
are the OSCARS or BAFTA’s of the fireplace industry.
Each year manufacturers are invited to submit their products
to be judged by a panel of experts drawn from design, development,
marketing, retailing and business backgrounds. Members of the
five judging teams are all volunteers and carry out their difficult
task over two days and totally independently of all those involved
with the exhibition.
Manufacturers are given the opportunity to submit products in
a number of different categories which are reviewed annually
to reflect current developments and innovations in the fireplace
market.
Entries are judged across a number of criteria with the winner
from each category going forward to be judged for the ultimate
accolades of fireplace, appliance, fireplace suite or added
value product of the year.
Only products new to the industry since the previous exhibition
can be submitted making the awards a true reflection of what
is the latest and best available. At a ceremony held during
the Hearth & Home Exhibition, winners receive
an engraved crystal trophy and the applause of the whole industry
for their achievements.
